This card was sent to my Uncle who shares my birthday on Sept 26th. This was made in minutes, I was in a huge hurry, but I still love how it turned out! The base is Soft Suede, and I used Naturals White CS for the Top Note Die. The corners are the Curly Label punch lined up in the Photo Corner punch, although in hindsight, you can't see the centers, and it would have saved a ton of time to just cut the Curly Labels in half. Oh well, you live and learn, right? The treeline is from Lovely As a Tree, and the background is brayered in 3 colors (Bordering Blue, Crushed Curry, and Old Olive) with sponging over it in places, and the sunset is sponged in Crushed Curry and a tiny bit of Really Rust. I used a Gel Pen for the corners and edge of the Top Note, and stamped the sentiment from Heard From The Heart in Soft Suede. Finished this off with some Soft Suede Polka Dot Grosgrain ribbon, and called it done.Randomness, happiness, thriftiness and craftiness...all from my crazy corner in Suburbia;)

Sunflower Get Well Wishes

I sat down for some much needed stamp time a couple nights ago, this is what I came up with. After seeing someone on SCS make sunflowers out of the Boho Blossom Punch, I knew I wanted to play with that. I am a punch-addict (who probably could use detox...LOL!), and anything cool with punches, I am all for! I found out that Crushed Curry must have been made for sunflowers, isn't it perfect? The new set, Teeny Tiny Wishes is the most perfect sentiment set EVER, I have said before and will again, if you don't have it, GET IT!!! I have used almost no other word set since this one showed up in the brown truck...Hope you all have a great Friday, and a wonderful weekend. I will be updating more soon, I plan to stamp a lot this weekend!

My Best Friends Birthday Card...

I am SO lucky to have a wonderful friend who just celebrated her 30th birthday. You know that friend, who I hope everyone has, who is the only one you can tell everything? Well, this is her birthday card from me, and I hope she loved it! This is a pic of the card as well as the tags that fill the two pockets. Below is the card put together and a description of the card and supplies...
I used SU Fall Flowers DSP. The colors in this paper are Soft Sky and Old Olive, I didn't have any Soft Sky, so I used Bashful Blue instead. This card is made using an 8 1/2 x 11 piece of DSP folded and cut to make this double pocket card. Instead of using Sticky Strip to tape the edges together like I normally do, I stuck the sides in my Bind It All, then threaded ribbon through the holes. The flowers on the front are SU Die Cut Blooms, which I LOVE!!! Stamp set is Inspired by Nature for the grass and the flower, Flight of the Butterfly, and the sentiment is from It's Your Birthday. I wrote the personal message on the back of the larger tag. All items SU except ribbon (source unknown) and pearl on front from Mark Richards. I also used the Round Tab punch (SU) for the top of the first tag. I really like how this turned out, and my friend loved it, so all is well. I hope I still have her in my life 30 more years from now!

Live With Passion...
This is the card I came up with for my Dec hostess club meeting which was this past Saturday. It's quick and easy which was the goal as we had a Christmas Party in lieu of our normal meetings. All products are SU!. Cardstock is Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, and Very Vanilla. Ink is Chocolate Chip and Old Olive. Old Olive brads, Chocolate Chip 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon. The stamp set is Inspired by Nature which I just bought last month, and this card is the first I created with it, now I am very much looking forward to using it some more! The sentiment was colored with markers, the edges of that CS were swiped on the Chocolate Chip pad. We punched one hole from the Spiral Punch in the upper right corner to hold it onto the ribbon, and used 2 Glue Dots to attach it to the card. This one is pretty self-explanatory. I really worried it would be too simple for my club, but everyone really loved it. It's clean and simple, and I am in love with this stamp set now!
